Where to fly?

You can reach our event by flying to one of the following airports.

• Kalamata airport (KLX)
• Athens airport (ATH)

Kalamata airport (KLX)

By far the most convenient option. If you manage to find a flight to Kalamata and it has a reasonable price, don't think twice! Book it!

Athens airport (ATH)

Athens aiport has many destinations so the chances of finding a direct flight are high. For those who fly to Athens, there will be airport transfer that will take the participants from Athens airport directly to their apartments in Kalamata and of course back to Athens when the event is over. The cost of the airport transfer is 35-50 € (each way), depending on the amount of people on the transfer. You can book a spot here.

We offer transportation from both KLX and ATH airports.

Kalamata airport (KLX)

Airport transfer from KLX airport is available 24 hours with - most of the times - zero waiting time. Just book a spot, and when you arrive we will be there waiting for you.
The cost is 10 € per trip.

Athens airport (ATH)

Athens transportation is available Wednesday, Thursday & Friday before the marathon and Monday & Tuesday after the marathon.
The cost is 35-50 € per trip, depending on the completeness of the bus.

Below you can find the service times from ATH airport. All requests that fall outside these times, we will do our best to accommodate them, but we cannot guarantee the availability and the price.

How to book?

Everything in Los Higos is managed through your registration profile. You can access it via the link in your acceptance email. If you don't have access to that email, get a new link here.

Other options - Public transportation

For those who cannot use our shuttle bus, you can still reach Kalamata with public Transportation. Have in mind that this is the most expensive and time comsuming option.

Step 1. ATH airpot -> Kifisos Bus Station

From Athens you can only take a bus to Kalamata from Kifisos Bus Station.

• From ATH airport, take the bus X93 to reach Kifisos Bus Station.
• You can see the timetable here
• Cost: 6 €
• Duration: 70 mins (depending on traffic)

Step 2. Kifisos Bus Station -> Kalamata Bus Station

We higly recommend booking the bus tickets at least 2 days before as buses tend to be fully booked on their departure date.

• Duration: 2h45m for the express bus or 3h15m for the regular bus.

Step 3. Kalamata Bus Station -> Los Higos Apartments

The Los Higos Venue and Los Higos apartments are not located in the city of Kalamata but in an area 15 mins away by car. From Kalamata Bus Station, your only option would be to use either a Taxi or let us arrange one of our shuttle busses driving you to your accommodation.
